The St. Petersburg Zoo in Russia shared cute images of an unlikely friendship between a lynx, Linda, and a domestic cat named Dusja.

It all began when a homeless calico cat made her way into the St. Petersburg Zoo, according to KFOR.

The homeless cat (Dusja) found food in a lynx’s enclosure, and the lynx (Linda) accepted the cat into her life. Soon enough, they became best friends.

It seems that Linda has decided to share her stuffed animal with Dusja.

This story is a few months old but it's worth posting. We need more heartwarming stories at the end of this year.

There are some sites online to help people adopt homeless pets from Russia.

Here is an article about people bringing homeless dogs to America and Europe after the Sochi Olympics.

As you may remember, local authorities were massacring homeless dogs in that city "for safety reasons" before the Olympics.
