Black leaders and white progressives blame the black community's shortcomings, lawlessness, and violence on white racism.

However, Africa - which is ruled by blacks - is a hotbed of violence, terror, tribal and religious conflicts, racism, oppression, corruption, poverty, low levels of education and health care, and many other ailments.

If whites are to blame for American blacks' problems, how can we explain the fact that  societies with a black majority and black governments are so severely dysfunctional?

Devastating: This is the scene of a fire which burned down a $16 million nursing home which a baptist church spent eight years building

Key Points on Daniel Greenfield's column
(read it in full below)
  • If black lives really mattered, then black violence would matter. But that would mean taking responsibility for a broken culture which few leaders in the black community are ready to do.
  • If the black community leaders involved in these protests really cared about black lives, they would be leading marches through the crack houses and gang run territories that take hundreds of black lives in Baltimore every year.
  • They don’t. The protests are just another shakedown letting small-time Sharptons squeeze more money and influence out of the violence even while driving away the few sources of revenue the city still has.
  • The black community is dominated by thoroughly corrupt leaders who exploit violence to advance their own private interests. They’re willing to destroy their own city and community just to cash in.
  • Black leaders are no different than the thugs smashing windows and faces at their protests. They’re just playing the same game at a bigger level.
  • The organizers direct the protests toward police and/or white people to create a confrontation that will radicalize the marchers.
  • The looters exploit the chaos to smash everything in sight while the media bemoans the “marring” of the peaceful protest.
  • The protests don’t degrade into violence. They aren’t marred by violence. Violence is the whole point.
  • The police tried to stay out of it giving the protesters and their supporters what they really wanted; the opportunity to commit crimes without being held accountable.
  • Crime without accountability is the real cause that the protesters are there for. Their violence isn’t a reaction to anything except the permissive atmosphere created by their false accusations of racism.
  • This isn't about racism. Baltimore has a black mayor and police are mostly black.
  • For black lives to start really mattering, black violence has to matter.
Police van ablaze: Television images showed mobs of rioters jumping on top of a police car, destroying a taxi and setting two other patrol cars on fire after teenaged crowds ignored calls to disperse and clashed with lines of hundreds of police

In the news:

During a Saturday briefing, Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake said her city government “gave those who wished to destroy space to do that,” seemingly approving of the rioters who smashed the city’s police vehicles in the wake of the death of Freddie Gray.

The mayor of Baltimore's words:  I’ve made it very clear that I work with the police, and instructed them to do everything that they could to make sure that the protesters could exercise their right to free speech. It’s a very delicate balancing act because while we tried to make sure they were protected from the cars and the other things that were going on, we gave those who wished to destroy space to do that, as wellAnd we worked very hard to keep that balance and to put ourselves in the best position to deescalate. And that’s what you saw.

BLACK VIOLENCE MATTERS

Image result for daniel greenfieldBy Daniel Greenfield
Daniel Greenfield, a Shillman Journalism Fellow at the Freedom Center, is a New York writer focusing on radical Islam. He is completing a book on the international challenges America faces in the 21st century.

Baltimore has the fifth highest big city murder rate in the country. The four cities ahead of it are Detroit, New Orleans, Newark and St. Louis. All these cities have something in common. Not racism, but race.  The killers and the dead are black.

The murder rate in Baltimore stood at 37.4 to 100,000 people. There have already been 63 murders this year. Fifty-six of the victims were black. Of the 16 murders in the last 30 days, 14 of the victims were black.

If black lives really mattered, then black violence would matter. But that would mean taking responsibility for a broken culture which few leaders in the black community are ready to do.

Instead the death of Freddie Gray in police custody became the excuse for another round of #BlackLivesMatter riots, looting and assaults. Rather than dealing with the violence killing black Baltimore, it became another excuse for more of the same.
People stand on top of a police car as night falls in Baltimore
Police helpless as so many of their vehicles are destroyed or set on fire.

The media is always ready with the usual lies about peaceful protests being “marred” by sudden outbreaks of violence. Ferguson’s peaceful protests of screaming and throwing things at cops were suddenly marred by days of looting, arson and shootings.

Baltimore’s peaceful protests were marred by smashing cars, smashing windows, throwing rocks and assaulting random people still showing their white faces in the city.

State of emergency: Baltimore is in flames and the Maryland National Guard is on standby as riots escalate after Freddie Gray's funeral

The police tried to stay out of it giving the protesters and their supporters what they really wanted; the opportunity to commit crimes without being held accountable.

Crime without accountability is the real cause that the protesters are there for. Their violence isn’t a reaction to anything except the permissive atmosphere created by their false accusations of racism.

Freddie Carlos Gray, the latest poster child for the riot squad and its media cheerleaders, was the son of an illiterate drug addict. He had been repeatedly busted for drug possession with intent to distribute.

Pastors hit out at the rioters as the night sky burned orange from the flames of the building which would have housed 60 elderly people

This year alone he was charged with second-degree assault, fourth-degree burglary and malicious destruction of property, among other contributions to society.  Like Michael Brown, Freddie Gray was a criminal; a ridiculously persistent one.

The men smashing open store windows are following in his footsteps. They’re career criminals from across the country exploiting media incitement to commit more crimes.

A protestor throws a spent canister at police on North Avenue during a protest for the death of Freddie Gray in Baltimore, Maryland

This isn’t about racism.

Baltimore has a black mayor, a black police commissioner and a majority non-white police force. Driving out the remaining white police officers will just eliminate the race card excuse for future riots.

Protestors threw rocks and stones at dozens of police in riot gear just hours after Gray was laid to rest at a service attend by 2,500
Throwing rocks at police.

Studies have shown that black officers are harder on black suspects and that cops already hesitate more before shooting black suspects than white suspects. The Detroit police force is 63% black.

Federal oversight over it ended only recently. The Philadelphia police force has more blacks on it than any other racial group; it also has a high rate of police shootings and was targeted by the Justice Department.

Commuters on their way are home attacked: Demonstrators throw rocks at a bus at the Mondawmin Mall during violent clashes
Attacking their own buses.

If the black community leaders involved in these protests really cared about black lives, they would be leading marches through the crack houses and gang run territories that take hundreds of black lives in Baltimore every year.

They don’t. The protests are just another shakedown letting small-time Sharptons squeeze more money and influence out of the violence even while driving away the few sources of revenue the city still has.

Clash with police outside a mall.

Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake is pushing huge budget increases even though her casino plan has imploded. Blake is ignoring a report showing that Baltimore is headed for huge budget deficits.

The forces behind the riots are threatening the city’s revenue sources, businesses and tourism, to extract more cash that the city can’t afford.

For black community leaders, this isn’t about police brutality; it’s about money and power to be negotiated in private after the press conferences for unity are held.

The black community is dominated by thoroughly corrupt leaders who exploit violence to advance their own private interests. They’re willing to destroy their own city and community just to cash in.

Black leaders, who hide behind religious titles, mount outcries over the deaths of young black men despite having done nothing for them while they were still alive.

They are no different than the thugs smashing windows and faces at their protests. They’re just playing the same game at a bigger level.

The thugs loot stores. The community leaders loot cities. Their take is a lot bigger than the thug with bloody hands clutching a handbag and some cheap booze.
 Taunting police.

The #BlackLivesMatter movement touted by Obama and the media attracts looters from around the country to protests run by leftist community organizers.

The organizers direct the protests toward police and/or white people to create a confrontation that will radicalize the marchers.

The looters exploit the chaos to smash everything in sight while the media bemoans the “marring” of the peaceful protest.

The protests don’t degrade into violence. They aren’t marred by violence. Violence is the whole point.

A genuinely peaceful protest would attract too few people to fill a coffee shop. Protesters aren’t traveling around the country just to be able to carry a cardboard sign for twenty blocks.

They’re there to smash, throw and beat. They come to radicalize and stay to loot. And there’s always an excuse. There’s always another petty hood who gets shot by a white cop or who dies in police custody.

Violence: Demonstrators throw rocks at the police after the funeral of Freddie Gray. The police struggled to contain them at first

After all the MSNBC rhetoric about the genocide of white supremacy has been vomited up, the ugly fact remains that the mass murder of young black men is being carried out by other black men.

The only thing that prevents the gang violence from escalating to truly genocidal proportions is the police officer.

In 2013, 2,245 black people were killed by other black people. Only 189 were killed by whites. In 2012, 2,412 black people were killed by other black people. That’s tens of thousands dead over a decade.

There have been genocides with lower death tolls.

Eleven police officers have been injured, many with broken bones, and at least one appeared ‘unresponsive’
Photo:  Eleven police officers have been injured, many with broken bones, and at least one appeared ‘unresponsive’

Now imagine if there were no police to get in the way. It’s not hard. Detroit’s police force has been mostly wrecked. The police often don’t respond to calls. Citizens have been told to use guns to protect themselves. Detroit tops the big city murder rate with 45 murders per 100,000 people.

If black lives really mattered, then we would be having a conversation about black violence.

Instead we’re sitting through yet another violently cynical attempt to blame it on white supremacy in a city run by black people.

Black lives still don’t matter, but hating white people is always on the menu.

A man walks past a burning police vehicle during unrest in Baltimore. A helicopter circled overhead as groups of roving youths moved through the city. Television footage showed one group of demonstrators pile on top of and ride a car as it drove in the street

The advocates for #BlackLivesMatter might want to talk to Vincent “Vito” Smothers, a black Detroit honors student who had killed a dozen black people by his twenties.

“When you grow up in the hood, you learn: if you sell drugs, you’re going to end up one of two things—in jail or dead,” he told an interviewer. “Those are the results of that life.”

That’s what happened to Freddie Gray. It’s what happened to countless young black men across the country.

Instead of fighting crime, the #BlackLivesMatter movement is pushing more violence and fewer cops, more crime and more criminals. And that means more dead young black men lying in the morgue.

For black lives to start really mattering, black violence has to matter.

US Activist Attacks 'Racist' Liberals for Excusing Black Rioters

Black American activist urges rethink of racial discourse in US, slams 'racist, condescending' liberals for excusing Black rioters.

Chloe Valdary, herself a black American, penned at oped last year in which she labeled such "well-meaning paternalism" as inherently racist.

Now, she has appeared in a video released by Prager University, which she says she hopes will "spark a conversation" over the racism of what she terms as liberal "condescenders", who view black people as "children" not responsible for their actions.

"The only difference between this view and that of White Supremacists is that White Supremacists are honest and open. In their view, blacks are inferior to whites, period. But those who condescend to blacks cloak themselves in self-righteousness, so somehow that makes it OK."

Is that a fair analysis? Check out the video and decide for yourself:

Chloe Valdary's column from last year:

Dear White People:
Well-Meaning Paternalism Is Still Racist

By Chloe Valdary

Even when they’re expressing sympathy with the plight of the black community, racism can persist.

Chloé Simone Valdary
Due to recent events that have occurred in Ferguson, Missouri, and now, in New York regarding the wrongful and tragic death of Eric Garner, there has been great debate and dialogue about racial disparity, the plight of the black community, and the challenges we often face in America when facing prejudice and discrimination.

As a black woman living in America, I am very pleased to see my white counterparts taking this issue head on and doing so with a desire to rectify injustices that are often perpetrated against the black community.

At the same time, I feel it prudent to put to rest this fanciful notion that some of those same white people have, namely that treating us with kid gloves is somehow noble or desirable. It is not. It is racist.

Last week, as I was sitting in one of my last classes of the fall semester, my professor decided to discuss Ferguson and the parallels between protest communities and revolutionary communities with a religious bent.

This conversation quickly led to a discussion of the details of the crime and the conclusion the jury came to—which apparently every white person with a passion for social justice is convinced is either wrong, evil, racist, or all the aforementioned.

To be sure, I was really excited to have this discussion. Throughout the semester, my professor made sure to stress that, in the tradition and spirit of the anthropological approach to learning, we should never see the “other” as mystical or innately different from ourselves.

Instead, study of other cultural groups should be approached in the same rational way every other study of human beings is approached, and we should hold those others to the same standards that we hold the Western world.

This was very refreshing to hear, especially in an increasingly globalized society where groups are often judged by different standards.

But then Ferguson happened and all of that glorious approach went out the window.

It began when a classmate raised her hand and stated that she was confused about the facts of the case. Upon further discussion between her and the professor, she came to the conclusion that the facts of the case “ultimately doesn’t matter.”

The professor agreed. She said that what ultimately matters is that a “black boy was killed by a white cop,” and that since there is racism in this country, this is the only thing of great importance; she also stated that the protests, even the violent ones, were the actions of people who “just couldn’t take it anymore.”

This is that precise moment where concern for others bleeds into paternalism; where unease with societal problems is transformed into enabling those very same societal problems and causing them to endure; where a genuine desire to stop racism actually itself takes another form of racism, albeit one cloaked in the facade of fairness and impartiality.

The facts matter because the facts matter. The facts do not cease to matter merely because a white cop killed a black boy. If a white cop killed a white boy, the facts would matter. If a black cop killed a black boy, the facts would matter.

If a black cop killed a white boy, the facts would matter. To suggest anything else is to perpetuate discrimination, the very thing that white people with an ostensible social justice bent claim to want to end.

It is not merely morally absurd to suggest that facts do not matter; as a person of color, it is insulting and degrading.

What this essentially means is that superman-wannabe white people do not see my people as their equal. Indeed, they view us as children who can never adhere to the standards of civility and decency to which they hold other groups.

The only difference between this view and that of white supremacists is that while white supremacists view our apparent unequal human qualities to be negative, other white people view this as a positive.

In a way, this is worse than the racism of white supremacists, since this is thought to be an honorable attitude. When white people burn buildings and murder people who are of a different shade, it’s considered to be racism. When people of color do it, it’s because they “just couldn’t take it anymore.”

This foolishness is not progressivism. It is an innovation in self-righteous bigotry: “Black people just cant help themselves and thats all right with me.

This cannot continue. Disparagement painted over with the brushstrokes of complimentary praise is still disparagement. As blacks, we desire to be treated equally. Not differently. Not better. Not worse. Not like we’re demons. Not like we’re angels. But equally.

baltimore-bullpen-wheelchair-womanA shocking video of Saturday’s violent riots in Baltimore, Maryland show an individual shielding a handicapped woman caught in the sights of a mob throwing bottles, trash cans, and other objects at random bar patrons.

The account of the fracas captures the intensity of the violence against random bystanders with no ties to the police or the death of Freddie Gray, the purported reasons for the protest gone violent.

Gangs may have entered partnership to kill police officers

The Baltimore Police Department said earlier in the day they received a credible threat that numerous gangs entered into a partnership to “take-out” law enforcement officers.

The smell of burned rubber wafted in the air in one neighborhood where youths were looting a liquor store. Police stood still nearby as people drank looted alcohol. Glass and trash littered the streets, and small fires were scattered about. One person from a church tried to shout something from a megaphone as two cars burned.

Anti-Israel activists try to hijack the Baltimore riots
https://twitter.com/rashadalaiyan/status/592801917279019008/photo/1

Just like in Ferguson and the #BlackLivesMatters protests, trying to blame Israel.  This is becoming a recurring theme.

When there is a riot or other protest in the U.S., particularly if involving minority communities, “pro-Palestinian” activists try to hijack it and turn it into a criticism of Israel.

We saw it in Ferguson where “pro-Palestinian” activists spread lies that Israel trained the Ferguson police, and actually embedded themselves in the protests to try to turn the protests into anti-Israel protests.

The same thing has happened repeatedly with #BlackLivesMatters protests, most notably the dangerous blockade of the San Mateo – Hayward Bridge.

This is part of the emerging theme of anti-Israeli activists trying to tie unrelated movements, such as fossil fuel divestment, to Palestinian issues.

Now we are seeing it with the Baltimore riots.
