Blooming beautiful: The park that's been turned so blue by a springtime sea of flowers that the ground blends with the sky

  • Every April a transformation takes place in the Hitachi Seaside Park, with a sea of blue flowers growing

  • Located a few hours from Tokyo, the public park is situated in the city of Hitachinaka in the Ibaraki Prefecture

     Located less than two hours from Tokyo, the public park is situated in the city of Hitachinaka in the Ibaraki Prefecture

     Visitors are advised that the best time to witness the spectacle is typically from mid April through early June 
     Suzuki also captured millions of pink flowers - called shibazakura - blooming at the Fuji Shibazakura Festival
