Amusing: This picture appears to capture the moment a squirrel had to knock on a window to ask for help when it was stalked by a fox

Popular: Mr Gardner captioned his original image with the phrase ¿if you could let me in¿ that¿d be great¿ and it was shared 21,000 times

Standing tall: The squirrel has often been seen in the garden recently and 'knows he will get food that I leave out', the photographer said

The stalking is relentless.

Appearances: The garden has proved a haven for wildlife and three foxes including Forest have been returning there for a number of years

"The squirrel has been coming around a lot recently too and he knows he will get food that I leave out for them." said Mr. Gardner.  "I call him Corby."

The image was taken in North Kensington, West London

With his dog: Mr Gardner is often wheelchair-bound due to his avascular necrosis disability that leads to the death of bone tissue
